Lalitha Chest & Skin Hospital was founded in 2016 by Dr. Rajkumar Korra with a singular purpose: to bring interventional pulmonology — the kind of specialist care previously only available in Hyderabad — directly to the people of Karimnagar. What began as Lalitha Chest Clinic quickly earned a reputation for accurate diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, and genuine patient attention.
When COVID-19 swept through Telangana, Dr. Rajkumar's team was among the frontline responders in Karimnagar — managing critically ill patients, providing mechanical ventilatory support, and working through the most demanding conditions a pulmonologist can face. The hospital received widespread recognition for its dedication during this period, and the community's trust deepened substantially.
The hospital expanded its scope with the addition of a full dermatology department under Dr. B. Jyothi — a Consultant Dermatologist and Cosmetologist holding an MD and DVL — bringing comprehensive skin, allergy, and cosmetic care under the same roof. Today, Lalitha Chest & Skin Hospital is a complete, two-specialty hospital with equipment and capabilities that rival urban corporate centres.
Dr. Rajkumar also serves as Associate Professor at Chalmeda Ananda Rao Institute of Medical Sciences (CAIMS), Karimnagar — combining active clinical practice with academic teaching and research. His work ensures that the next generation of pulmonologists in the region is trained to the same standards his own patients experience.
